Biography
The Worship Training Center was birthed in Ben's heart about  fifteen years ago. God gave him the desire to see Christian music move to a level of technique and excellence that would not only match what the world had to offer, but exceed it's quality of music. He also taught Ben the difference between worship leading and becoming a lead worshipper and the need to help young artists distinguish the difference. So the Worship Training Center was birthed to develop that kind of musician- one with great technical ability, but with a great heart for God as well.
It began in quite an unassuming place, in the midst of a private teaching practice. As the teaching practice grew to 80+ students per week over the last seventeen years and in working as adjunct faculty as guitar class instructor at Walter State Community College have been developing Ben's teaching skills. Now he is teaching others how to teach well.

Over the years of teaching privately and in the community college Ben has seen thousands of young men and women raised up in this area. They are effective praise teams, songwriters, and leading worship for their churches or youth teams today. Others have gone on to college on scholarships in music through the excellence that has been developed in these classes. Serving on praise teams has taught Ben many lessons to impart to young musicians. Wanting to move the songs in his heart to something to bless the body of Christ taught him how to do recording without a huge budget.  We have ongoing ministry to the community of Christian musicians with outreaches and doing ministry in the community together with other youth teams. Someday, the dream is to see a 24 hour center for youth musicians to play, come hear quality Christian music, and develop into some of the best musicians on the planet.THE WORSHIP TRAINING CENTER…..CATCH THE VISION!

Our heart is to EQUIP, IGNITE, AND UNITE the YOUTH of the Knoxville region. The heart of the WTC is to interconnect with local youth groups and youth musicians who would like to be part of this united force so we can go out into the community to ministry in music in parks and other venues on a regular basis as a team. Would you, your college friends, or your youth group like to be a part of making this happen?

Someday, the dream is to be a 24 hour youth creative arts retreat center. It will be a place where youth can come to be trained in creative arts ministry and where worship is happening around the clock 24-7 manned by teams of on fire youth of this region. We envision outdoor festivals and concerts from the center, camps, and retreat facilities.  It will be a place for youth of all denominations to come together to develop their talents and hearts.  We are just stepping into this vision. If you are a local business, church, or individual with a heart for this generation, we would appreciate your prayers and support in creating this worship center dream. If you have a heart to see young people develop their music for the Lord, contact us to see how you can help! Contributions are tax-deductible.
